Author Guidelines

General Information

Journal of Current Public Health Issues (JCPHI) welcomes the submission of original manuscripts that have not been previously published and are not currently under consideration for publication elsewhere. Manuscripts must be written in clear and academic English and should contribute significantly to the advancement of public health knowledge and practice.

All submitted manuscripts will undergo a double-blind peer-review process to ensure the quality, originality, and relevance of the publication.


Manuscript Preparation

Manuscript Format

Authors are required to prepare manuscripts in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx) using the following general format:

  • Paper size: A4
  • Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides
  • Font: Times New Roman
  • Font size: 11 pt
  • Line spacing: 1.0
  • Text alignment: Justified
  • Page numbers: Bottom center

Manuscript Structure

The manuscript should be arranged in the following order:

1. Title

The title should be concise, informative, and reflect the main content of the manuscript. Avoid abbreviations whenever possible.

2. Author Information

Include:

  • Full name(s) of author(s)
  • Institutional affiliation(s)
  • Email address of corresponding author
  • ORCID ID (if available)

3. Abstract

The abstract should:

  • Be written in English
  • Consist of 150–250 words
  • Clearly describe the background, objectives, methods, results, and conclusions

4. Keywords

Provide 3–5 keywords separated by commas.

5. Introduction

The introduction should explain:

  • Research background
  • Problem formulation
  • Research objectives
  • Literature review
  • Research significance

6. Methods

This section should clearly describe:

  • Research design
  • Population/sample
  • Data collection methods
  • Instruments
  • Data analysis techniques
  • Ethical considerations (if applicable)

7. Results and Discussion

Present research findings clearly and discuss their significance in relation to previous studies and theoretical frameworks.

8. Conclusion

The conclusion should summarize the main findings and provide recommendations or implications for future research and practice.

9. Acknowledgments

Optional section for recognizing funding sources or contributions from individuals/institutions.

10. References

References should:

  • Use recent and relevant sources
  • Primarily come from scientific journals
  • Follow APA Style (7th Edition)
  • Be managed using reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote

Tables and Figures

  • Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively
  • Provide clear titles and source information if applicable
  • Ensure images and graphics are of high quality
  • Tables and figures should be cited within the text

Citation Style

JCPHI uses APA Style (7th Edition) for citations and references.

Example:

Journal Article

Author, A. A., & Author, B. B. (2024). Title of article. Journal Name, 10(2), 100–110. https://doi.org/xxxxx

Book

Author, A. A. (2023). Book title. Publisher.


Plagiarism Policy

All manuscripts will be checked using plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts with high similarity indexes or evidence of plagiarism will be rejected immediately.

Authors are expected to ensure originality and proper citation of all sources used.


Ethical Considerations

Research involving human participants must comply with ethical standards and may require ethical clearance approval from the appropriate institution.

Authors must disclose:

  • Conflicts of interest
  • Funding sources
  • Ethical approval information where applicable

Submission Process

Authors must submit manuscripts through the official OJS submission system available on the journal website.

Before submission, authors should ensure that:

  • The manuscript follows the journal template
  • The manuscript is free from grammatical errors
  • References are properly formatted
  • All required metadata are completed

Peer Review Process

All submissions undergo:

  1. Initial editorial screening
  2. Double-blind peer review
  3. Revision process (if required)
  4. Final editorial decision

The editor reserves the right to reject manuscripts that do not meet the journal standards or scope.


Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain copyright of their work while granting JCPHI the right of first publication.

Published articles may be distributed under the journal’s open-access policy and applicable licensing terms.
